We are honored to receive the Blogger Recognition Award created by the bloggers, for the bloggers. Blogging can be fun and rewarding, but in order to excel, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication!

How MonkeysVentures.com Started

We were fortunate enough to be able to step away from our careers for a few months to travel, study, and recharge for our next adventure in life. And since we both enjoy writing and taking photographs, we thought, “Why not? Let’s see what we can do with it! Let’s write about our current and past adventures!” 😊

Monkeysventures.com was born during that time as a creative project to journal our travel adventures, and whatever else we felt was worth sharing. We quickly realized this was also the perfect outlet to showcase our home state of California, especially the San Francisco Bay Area, where we live.

Our Two Cents for Beginner Bloggers

Be patient, don’t get discouraged, and most of all, have fun!!! Wow, that’s like three cents already! 😊

Find your tribe! There are a lot of encouraging and fascinating people who you’ll meet off and online. Keep in touch and stay engaged! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, find mentors, and learn new things. We were really lucky to discover #traveltribe on Twitter. This fantastic, goofy online community is always happy to lend a hand, cheer you on and get you moving! 4. CarpeDiemEire John, you know we love your articles and photography! John is a blogger based in Ireland, writing about his adventures all over Europe.
5.  GreenMochilla When you plan traveling to South America, this is the one blog we strongly recommend reading post by post. The blog is run by Anthony and Anna, and packed with useful advice and inspiration for travel itineraries.
6. KaliTravel Kali is a Spain-based blogger who has traveled all over the world. Definitely seek her advice on the hidden treasures of Spain!
7. Kristen Abroad One of the best blogs we’ve read about Japan!

9. Minivan Adventures April’s blog is a pleasure to read for family-fun quirky adventures and also discovering new and off the beaten path destinations in the US.
