100 Things We Want to Do in 2022!

Here we are again, stepping out of the old year and optimistically leaping into the next. One way to organize yourself for 2022 is to create your “100 Things We Want to Do This Year” list. We have been doing this traditionally for some time now.

Every New Year’s Eve, we take down the list from the past year and check off all the completed items. Then on New Years Day, we create a brand new one. Many times we’ll take items from the previous list and transfer them over to the new one. This isn’t “cheating”, just consider these things you want to continue doing. We have quite a few items that we repeat year after year.

“What is the “100 Things We Want to Do This Year” list? Well, it’s simple. It’s merely a list of activities, personal goals, or anything you’d like to see yourself accomplish in the coming year. Whether it’ll be something a bit more complex like changing a career path or just being nicer to the neighbor. What goes on the list is entirely up to you. And, to help you get started, we have created two (2) templates for you to choose from — one for Family use, the other one for Personal one. Just download and print!

Enjoy!

Tips and Ideas

TIP # 1 – Make it easy on yourself. Try something as small as finally dumping that drawer full of old phone chargers, or opening a door for a stranger while you’re out about town. Even the simplest tasks can be rewarding and give you a sense of accomplishment. And everyone benefits from small acts of kindness, so jot them down too! Then next New Years’ Eve, you can check off a big chunk of the list.

TIP # 2– At the top of the list, you may choose to put a larger goal (or goals) like losing a few pandemic pounds, for example, then add smaller tasks below it to help you get there. Like “exercise more” or “cut back on sweets”, and so on.

TIP# 3 – Maybe you’d like to acquire a new skill or improve some old ones. Taking an online guitar course or doing something crafty is always a fun way to fill up your list. This is always our favorite. Finding a fun meditative craft project is a great way to escape a mundane routine for an hour or so. You may even discover a hidden talent or two!

TIP# 4 – POST THIS LIST WHERE YOU WILL SEE IT EVERY DAY!!! If you can’t see the list, you won’t be reminded, and nothing will get done. Also, be sure to keep it realistic and achievable. If the tasks are too involved or difficult, they may become overwhelming. But in the end, it’s totally up to you and how creative you want it to be. We don’t think we’ve ever accomplished all 100 things listed for a year, but it’s always fun trying to complete as many as we can. Sometimes we even discover something new about ourselves in the process.

So to you and yours, we raise our glass to a Happy New 2022! May it bring laughter, joy, money in your wallet, and new exciting adventures! May all your dreams come true in 2022!
